More on being a Speaker

Speakers are selected to address a particular topic or area of specialism which fits within the wider scope of the event. This topic should be presented to the participants in a relevant and timely manner. The intention is to offer theoretical viewpoints, discussion and case studies in a way which stimulates debate, and encourages the adoption of best practices. Speakers are requested to conduct a presentation followed by a question and answer session. During the question and answer session the speaker should identify participants who wish to ask questions and answer those questions where possible. Should the speaker be unable to answer a question, then the question should be opened to the floor to see if another participant has an answer or solution to offer.

iVentiv - Being a SpeakerThe presentation style and format adopted by the speaker will be a personal choice. iVentiv requires information prior to the event to clarify the format and style of the session and will make necessary arrangements to accommodate the proposed style where relevant. The majority of speakers will run sessions in the main event room with a classroom style layout capable of accommodating up to 150 participants.

iVentiv encourages any change in format which moves towards a more inclusive and participatory session. Speakers will have the layout for their particular session outlined prior to the event, within sufficient time for relevant preparation to take place.
